Safe first steps

1. Turn off the dishwasher and unplug it from the power source.
2. Remove the coarse filter by turning it counterclockwise and take out the fine filter.
3. Check for any foreign objects in the drainage pump area and remove them if found.
4. Clean the filters under running water and ensure they are free of debris.
5. Reassemble the filters, ensuring they are securely locked in place, and then plug the dishwasher back in.

When to stop

• If the drainage pump is still blocked after cleaning, or if the cover does not secure properly, stop and call a professional.
