Safe first steps

1. Turn off the dishwasher and unplug it from the wall socket.
2. Turn off the water tap to stop the water supply.
3. Unscrew the inlet hose from the dishwasher and carefully remove the outer filter.
4. Clean the outer filter to remove any blockages, then reassemble it and ensure the gasket is properly positioned.
5. Reconnect the inlet hose, plug the dishwasher back in, and turn on the water tap. Check for leaks.

When to stop

• Stop if you see water leaking from the inlet hose or connections — risk of flooding.
