Safe first steps

1. Turn off the dryer and unplug it from the power outlet.
2. Remove and clean the lint filter thoroughly to ensure proper airflow.
3. Check and clean the heat pump filter, ensuring it is correctly inserted back into its slot.
4. Inspect the condense water tank and empty it if full, then reinsert it properly.
5. If the error persists after cleaning, check for any visible damage to the heat exchanger and arrange a service visit if necessary.

When to stop

• Stop if you notice any unusual smells or if the dryer is excessively hot to the touch — risk of fire.
