Safe first steps

1. Unplug the washing machine from the power outlet.
2. Check the drain pump filter for blockages and clean it under running water if necessary.
3. Ensure the drain hose is properly installed and not kinked or blocked.
4. Reconnect the power and run a short cycle to test the drainage.
5. If the error persists after these checks, arrange a service visit — do not use the appliance.

When to stop

• Stop if you see water leaking from the machine or around the electrical connections — risk of electric shock.
