Safe first steps

1. Remove the lower dish rack to access the filter.
2. Inspect the filter for any food residues or limescale buildup.
3. Clean the filter under running water to remove any blockages.
4. Reinstall the filter and lower dish rack, then run a short cycle to test drainage.
5. If the error persists after cleaning, check for visible damage to the drain pump — arrange a service visit if necessary.
