Safe first steps

1. Monitor temperatures in both the fridge and freezer compartments and move sensitive food if cooling is unstable.
2. Do not rely on repeated restarts as a permanent fix because they may only mask the fault temporarily.
3. If the code returns after a short restart, book authorized service for the defrost system.

When to stop

• Stop if food temperatures rise outside a safe range.
• Stop if you notice a burning smell or see damaged wiring inside the appliance.
