Safe first steps

1. Turn off the dishwasher and unplug it from the power source.
2. Remove the bottom spray arm by unscrewing it or pulling it off, depending on the model.
3. Take out the filter system by turning the coarse filter counterclockwise and lifting it out.
4. Clean the filter and the water pump area thoroughly under running water, ensuring no debris is left.
5. Reassemble the filter system and the spray arm, ensuring everything is securely in place before plugging the dishwasher back in.

When to stop

• Stop if you see any foreign objects in the pump area or if the filter is damaged — risk of flooding or component damage.
