Safe first steps

1. Turn off the water supply to the washing machine to prevent further leakage.
2. Check for visible leaks around the door seal and hoses. If you find any, clean or replace the affected parts.
3. Inspect the drain pump filter for blockages and clean it if necessary.
4. If the leak persists after checking the seals and filter, arrange a service visit — do not run the appliance.

When to stop

• Stop if you see water pooling around the base of the machine — risk of electric shock.
