Safe first steps

1. Check the drainage hose for any kinks or bends that may be obstructing water flow.
2. Ensure that the drainage hose is properly installed and not too high above the ground level.
3. Remove the drainage hose from the machine and check for any blockages inside the hose.
4. If the hose is clear but the error persists, check the drain pump for any visible damage or blockages.
5. If the drain pump is visibly damaged or the fault persists after cleaning, arrange a service visit — do not run the appliance.

When to stop

• Stop if you see water leaking from the appliance or around the drainage area — risk of flooding.
